Sold the 997. 2 gt3 is simply the best variant of the gt3 model line-up to date, if my option matters for anything. I am a user of all things electronic to make my horrible driving skills seem much better than they actually are, and this car makes me look like a cup driver. This is also the last of the gt3’s to be equipped with a manual gear box, and not have direct injection! These as all gt3’s will continue to appreciate in value as time ticks on, and i would be one to say it would escalate further than most as it’s the last of what would consider the pure 997 model line up. This car is showing only 48 over-revs’ in range 1, all other ranges show zero! This car unlike most also wears the new generation pccb ceramic brake package, which is nothing short of amazing. The car has had a few tasteful upgrades, one being the fab-speed exhaust/header package- this makes the car sound like a possessed demon child, but with the push of the button to turn off sport mode the car quiet’s to stock noise level’s (which is a plus pulling into my allotment as most people are annoyed by my car’s pulling in and out). The fab-speed air intake was added to complement exhaust package and allows a better air ingestion. To say it was an afterthought is very generous, they are by far the worst factory sound system’s porsche has ever produced, but again this was a car centered around the track and not the street, and with a symphony of engine noise’s the need for a good sound system seem like an unnecessary item. Which let me say i am no audiophile i rather much enjoy the engine noise’s. The car wears very good factory options and those are listed below:. Sold what else can be said about the gt3. This is an all around amazing driver’s car! And best yet, these car are appricating in value!!!! The car was built perfect; all the important options were put in place with a perfect color combination. The cobalt blue exterior is amazing and the red calipers and roll cage just look stunning against it. This car has received some very tasteful upgrades from the previous owner and i agree with every single one. The rs door pulls are always a nice touch, and along with the rs roll cage it really adds a nice touch to the interior. The gmg exhaust is one of the most well placed units on the gt3’s , and it ability to function with the factory sport button is perfect (meaning it can be quiet when need be). The h&r springs are an amazing complement to the factory suspension, they lower the car slightly and are one of the few units that are psam compatible. The car has had the front crank seal replaced, and a new clutch was installed at 22k miles. All of the service was completed on the car as it should have been, and is well documented on the carfax. The dme is free of any range 4,5,6 over revs. The secondary sticker that states “not for sale” is most likely evidence that the car was a car show piece for porsche before being sold to a dealer, and who could blame them with the color combination. Yes, they are considered by most the “ugly duckling” of the turbo family, as there “fried egg” headlights are not as recognizable as the rest of their blood line, but underneath those headlights there still lie’s the blood line of the porsche turbo heritage!! The mezger engine still lives and breathes fiery breath into this monster, and the suspension is measured perfect to the width and grip these cars produce… which reduces push into the corners and allows amazing exit speeds!! The only tasteful modification is the rear gt2 spoiler and gt2 side skirts. The front end of the 911 has been wrapped in xpel up to the center of the hood and fenders.
